Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Masters Barber & Shave website collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It doesn't replace the privacy policies of the separate booking, map, or social platforms linked from this site.
Information we collect
This website has no forms and no accounts. We collect information in two ways:
- Information you choose to give us. When you call, text, or book through a barber's booking link, you share details like your name, phone number, and appointment preferences. Calls and texts go through your phone carrier; bookings are handled by the booking provider you choose.
- Information collected automatically, only with your consent. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect device and browser type, approximate location (city level), referring site, pages viewed, and how you interact with pages (such as clicks and scrolling). Clarity may record anonymized page interactions to help us find usability problems. Text you type is masked.
How we use information
To schedule and provide services, respond to calls and texts, keep the site secure, and, when you've consented, understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
Masters Barber & Shave does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use advertising or remarketing cookies. Information may be processed by these service providers:
- Google (Analytics and the embedded map)
- Microsoft (Clarity)
- The booking provider for the barber you choose: Schedulista, Square, Squire, or GOLDIE
- Our website host, Hostinger, which processes standard server logs
Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy. Third-party services may collect information about your activity across different websites when you use them.
Your choices
- Cookie banner. Optional analytics stay off until you select "Accept All" or turn on analytics in Cookie Settings. You can change your choice any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the site treats it as a request to opt out and keeps optional analytics off.
- Do Not Track. Browsers' "Do Not Track" setting has no common standard, so the site doesn't respond to it separately. Use the cookie banner or GPC instead.
- Your browser. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Booking shortcut. When you click a barber's booking button, your browser remembers that barber's name so the homepage can show a "Book with … again" button next time. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't do either). We won't treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, call or text (805) 701-8656. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Security and retention
We use reasonable measures to protect information and keep it only as long as needed for business, legal, and operational purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics providers' retention settings.
Children
This website is for a general audience and isn't designed to collect personal information from children under 13. Appointments for children are made by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the effective date above when we make material changes.
